Flower Garden has rows of flowers, each created with a special stitch and set into little "cameo shaped" openings. This design element is repeated throughout the sampler with tiny circle shaped openings that are filled with high luster Magnifica beads by Mill Hill (they are so pretty!). We chose a jewel tone palette of deep purple, rich greens, crimson reds and touches of mauve. A single strand of black silk is used for the "semi-traditional blackwork butterflies" and for the "crown" of flowers on top. This piece was specifically designed to showcase the beauty of "Splendor" silk thread produced and distributed by Rainbow Gallery.
