We've made "apples" a pretty big thing around here. And to get us in the spirit to create this "home grown" design, we conjured up all kinds of mental visions of pies, dumplings, breads, jams...none of which were low calorie but irresistibly delicious (nothing like feasting in mind only right?!!). We thought about things homemade and our grandmothers and small fruit orchards tucked away on a quiet country lane. Oh, how our little minds wander...

Granny's Apples features several wholesome apple varieties in all there colorful glory including Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and, of course, the ultimate...the beautiful green Granny Smith. We added pretty blossoms, vines, a lovely old antique fruit bowl and a bit of whimsy to make this piece worthy of you're precious stitching time (we never seem to have enough of that!!).

We framed Granny's Apples but it would work quite nicely as a bellpull too.
