I think this is about as exciting as it gets!! We've used an old needlework technique but with a brand new twist to create our punchneedle designs. Punchneedle is fast, fun and full of texture and dimension. Using a special needle for your thread, and fabric stretched over a hoop, you basically punch through the fabric to make the loops. Our kits include pre-printed fabric....no transferring involved! (with the exception of our "bug buddies"...you will trace the background only). Some of our kits include handcrafted clay buttons, charms or overdyed buttons.

To get started, you will need a special needle to punch with. There are 3 different sizes that are used depending on the number of strands or thickness of threads used in a design. Most of our designs required the 1 strand needle and occasionally, the 3 strand needle. We have used both the CTR brand of needles and the Igolochkoy brand of needles. They both provide good general instructions for the beginner...developing your skills, threading the needle, tips, troubleshooting etc. CTR allows you to purchase the desired needle sizes individually. They also have an accessory pack that you can purchase that provides extra needle threaders and gauges. Igolochkoy needles must be purchased as a set and includes all three needle sizes, along with extra threaders and gauges.

With a little punching practice, you can complete one of these designs in very short order and you will be very impressed with your efforts!

"Simple Garden Fare"
We created a unique punchneedle version of "Simple Garden Fare". This design is punched on a gorgeous khaki fabric that allows the background to be left "unpunched". The kit includes the pretty "Garden Circle"clay button, wool with template for the basket and all 3 printed pieces of fabric. All you need is the hoop, a 1 strand needle and DMC floss.



"Egg"stavagance
Our egg collection is a "must have" for the Spring festivities. We punched a second set leaving the border off and mounted them as ornaments for our Easter tree. Change the color combinations (any pastel combo will look good) and create a dozen!!

Each design in the series uses DMC cotton floss. An Anchor floss conversion is provided along with the instructions, a numbered diagram and fabric with the design printed on it. Their finished size measures approx. 3.75 H X 2.75 W.
